Sometimes my son really reminds me of how I was when I was a wee one. Ever since he started pre-school this year, he has been learning things like crazy. You can really tell that he is absorbing all the information that he picks up at school. The funniest part? While he sits on the floor playing with his cars or action figures, he always starts singing or humming. He learned a bunch of songs from school, but his favorite is The Excavator Song. The Excavator Song He knows the whole song by heart and sings it nonstop.

So, since my wife thinks I should start a blog, here we are! I'm 30, a SAHD, a geek, a gamer, a lover of punk and a fan of cooking. I figure this blog will be a combination of all of that, plus the occasional religious/political post. Any SAHDs out there need to watch The Other F Word and read Punk Rock Dad. While it isn't about SAHD it's still a great book about being a Dad. It really helped me realize I don't need to conform to what the public expects and just be me. So I'll keep gaming and rocking out to some good punk while getting dinner ready. I'll try to blog about what I'm making for dinner and post pictures. I'm Italian so expect lots of tasty Italian dishes.
